THE CLOSURE OF EAST BERKSHIRE MIND

The Trustees of East Berkshire Mind have released the following statement:

Over the last 20 years, East Berkshire Mind (formerly Mind in Bracknell) has delivered a wide variety of successful mental health services across East Berkshire.

However, it is with regret that as of the 31st March 2010 East Berkshire Mind will be ceasing service delivery and consequently, will be closing down the organisation after this time.

Despite making cuts to the internal infrastructure and associated central running costs, as an independent local charity it has become increasingly difficult to fund the running costs of the organisation. Funding cuts and short - term security of contracts, as faced by many small to medium charities, has compounded the issue.

East Berkshire Mind wishes to thank partners, staff, clients and carers - past and current - for their support over the years.
