New Horizons in Slough

East Berkshire Mind runs one resource centre from two locations within Slough. The New Horizons Resource Centre operates from Pursers Court, Elliman Avenue, Slough and from the SADSAD Centre (Slough and District Sports Association for the Disabled) in Northern Road, Slough. Both of these locations are open to all adults, young or old, with mental health needs. New Horizons reflects the multi-cultural community of the borough.

At SADSAD there is the opportunity to socialise with others, participate in community activities, sports outings, and get support and advice in a friendly, informal environment. SADSAD is   service user led and members are encouraged to assist in the running of the centre. The aim of the activities, advice and support is to build up the confidence and self esteem of the service users who attend. There is no cost to becoming a member and most activities are free as well.

At Pursers Court, New Horizons offers a range of structured activities from silversmithing, art and alternative therapies, yoga and games. Members also have access to on-line computers.

How to Join

New members are always welcome to access the centre. An individual has to have a diagnosed mental health problem and can be referred by their GP, Community Mental Health Team professional or Supported Housing Worker.
