Volunteering for East Berkshire Mind can be a rewarding and positive experience providing the following opportunities:
- A chance to develop new skills in the workplace, including mental health awareness.
- A chance to improve the world of someone experiencing mental distress through offering support and understanding
- A chance to learn from others experiences and work with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
Volunteering opportunities range from talking to clients in the day centre, to working for one of the social enterprise businesses, to being a trustee of the committee with responsibility for overseeing the management of the organisation.
Volunteering positions are open to anyone who has a positive attitude towards people who experience mental distress, can offer interpersonal or professional skills and are able to support people towards recovery.
